BIOGRAPHY
Santiago Viteri (Perú) is a Filmmaker, TV producer, shows creator (showrunner) and director of international sereies for spanish speaking audiences in North America, Caribbean and South America. In the past 10 years he has directed shows among many countries, in almost all genres such as: drama, suspense, action, narco series, thrillers and comedy.
He began his career as a theater director and producer, forming his theater company “Alea Jacta Est”. Productions with which he achieves directing 5 plays and produces 12 montages he takes on a national tour, including plays from other companies.
Between 1992 and 1998 parallel to his theater activity, he studied Phsycology, which he changes for Cinema & TV Directing and Filmmaking.
In 1999, he began his profesional career on Iguana Films of Lucho Llosa, from that point on he began to perform the roles of Unit Producer, Line Producer, Assistant Director and Casting Director in iconic international shows co-produced with Venevisión International and Ecuavisa, distributed around South America, East Europe and Asia.
At the beginnig of 2002 after a year and a half of fictional productions paralyzation he emigrates to the United States, country in which after 5 years of working as Set Chief, Line Producer and Assistant Director in several production companies in North american TV chains, he directs a shortfilm which brought to him relevant international presence in Film festivales; Representing the United States in America and Europe with important nominations and awards, giving him the opportunity from that moment on, to start directing series that have been exhibited in TV chains such as ABC, HBOLatino, America TeVe, Unimas, TVAzteca, Univision, Caracol Television, Televisa and also in streaming platforms such as Pelix America, YouTube Original, Blim and Netflix.

Cinematographically he has recieved awards such as la palma de oro in México, Palmáres, Espartinas, Estela dorada and the Angel in Europe, awards from the audience and both Peruvian and American jurys. 14 nominations and other mentions in international film festivals, among the most prestigious are the ones from Cartegana, Cannes and Sundance.
